Lactation SERVICES MAY BE COVERED BY YOUR HEALTH INSURANCE

In the United States, lactation services are covered by most insurance plans. Health insurance plans must provide breastfeeding support, counseling, and equipment (including a breast pump) during pregnancy and for the duration of breastfeeding. The only exception to this rule are grandfathered plans. Some insurance plans may require pre-authorization from your healthcare provider for services.
